（陌生讯）艺术家隋丞在家乡沈阳成功举办《呼吸·隋丞当代水墨艺术展》之后，受到沈城各界高度关注。为使得艺术家及其当代水墨艺术作品能与收藏界朋友更加有效地进行交流，我们受北方传媒·中汇艺术馆之邀，将于2017年4月9日—23日在中汇艺术馆举办《南云北望：隋丞当代水墨作品私享展》。
（UCAC, Shenyang, April 3）The artist SuiCheng successfully held "BREATHE-SuiCheng Contemporary Ink Art Exhibition" in his hometown of Shenyang, he and his works have received great attention from all walks of life in Shenyang. For the artist and his works can be more in-depth exchanges with the Northeast collectors, we invited by Sino-Fusion Art Museum of N-MEDIA, who will hold the"MENTAL STATE - SuiCheng Private Exhibition of Contemporary Ink Art Works", April 9-23, 2017.
作为策展方，陌生文化艺术传播机构（UCAC）与艺术家深度交流后，在《浮水者》和《云山》两个系列的基础上，特别增加了《游观》系列。我们希望将艺术家更多的当代水墨作品与大家分享。此外，艺术家隋丞也将再次受邀来沈与大家进行深度交流。
As the curator, UCAC conducted in-depth exchanges with the artist, on the basis of the two series of works "Swimmer" and "Clouds and Mountaions", we will specially add the "Travelling and Sight seeing" series works. We hope to share more contemporary ink paintings of SuiCheng with you. In addition, Mr.Sui will once again invited to Shenyang for in-depth exchanges with you.

MENTAL STATE

在快速的意识流动的功利主义社会中，我们每一个人都像在翻覆涌动的海潮中起伏的自愿或不自愿的浮水者，每个人都觉得自己是一种意识的主体，但似乎又被某种或某些种不明显的东西所牵引，就像一堆不在一个图案下的拼图，我们一直在“多元”的有效或无效地拼接过程中尝试着去实现最终的结果。而在这个被牵引的过程中，我们会忽略很多，会失去很多，也会奢望很多。
艺术家隋丞1960年代出生在沈阳，在这里他经历了各种被牵引的历史，直至新旧世纪的转折点（2000年）时，他选择了南下，定居深圳——从“一元”到“多元”拼图中的关键一块。地域、时间和空间的转变，使得艺术家的观看方式、思考方式及创作方式都产生了变化，由版画到油画、水墨、装置、文字、戏剧，艺术家隋丞在多种“语言”和“媒介”中不断地探索、建构和丰富着他的艺术思考。
在《南云北望》中，我们选择了艺术家隋丞当代水墨的系列作品：《浮水者》、《云山》和《游观》。当代水墨艺术是近年来隋丞教授在其版画艺术的基础上研究和拓展出的一种艺术语言，在其中我们可以清晰地看出艺术家浪漫且现实的冲突，他用东方传统的水墨媒介来勾画其对历史、社会和世界潮起潮落的思考与反思，以期引起观者对自身自观的共振，当然这也是艺术家近20年的艺术思想理念的再呈现。
在作品中，艺术家并没有延承传统的水墨技法，反而是在尽力打破某种牵引的束缚，用这种似乎已在我们血脉中流淌的黑白的变化将当代艺术的精髓，即观念的表达尽情输出，所以水墨在这里只是艺术家信手拈来的一种语言方式，或是一种表达的方法。而这也是我们呈现这次展览的主要想法——我们如何去观看当代艺术，当代艺术对我们的价值在何处？
沈阳，作为艺术家隋丞的故乡，这里的一切就像空中的云，举目即观；深圳，作为艺术家隋丞的居住地，这里的一切就像海中的浪，俯心即思。于《浮水者》、《云山》和《游观》的画面中，于南北时空的转换中，艺术家对艺术的思考、对世界的观看，以及价值观等一切意象（MENTAL STATE）都浓缩在《南云北望》之中。
